Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The real-time doze detection method using the closed eye times in the blink burst and isolated blink is proposed in this study. In recent years, in the driving environment such as cars, the accidents caused by the doze
have occurred frequently. The method to detect the doze included automobile information and biological information of the driver. However, these were in uenced by the situation of driving road surface and it was necessary to attach sensors to the body of the driver. Therefore, if the doze state can be judged using only the blink information with the non-contact camera in real-time, the doze can be detected without the in uence of road surface condition. In previous study, the decrease of the arousal level related to the blink burst and isolated blink including the long-time closed eye. In this study, the doze state can be detected at the suitable timing in all cases when the doze detection criteria of blink burst and isolated blink are selected as one and two seconds, respectively. In addition, for the practical use of the real-time doze detection system, the timing of the doze detection was investigated using the face image in the low time resolution. The experimental result indicated that the doze detection performance was almost the same down to the time resolution of 10 fps.
