(in English) Splicing systems are mathematical models for chemical reactions of DNA
sequences, that were introduced by Head in 1987.
Although a splicing system specifies a regular language, it is known that there is a regular language which
can not be generated by any splicing system.
Symbolic dynamical systems are sets of infinite sequences which are
closely related to formal languages.
