Design of a Broadband Electromagnetic Wave Irradiation Applicator for Heating Organic Solvent

(in English) The objective of this study is to design a broadband electromagnetic wave irradiation applicator. This applicator that includes a coaxial container irradiates the heated products in the container with electromagnetic wave from 0.08 GHz to 2.7 GHz. We proposed tapering teflon around the center conductor of the coaxial container in order to decrease reflection. We simulated the proposed containers with a 3D electromagnetic simulator, HFSS. We designed a small container with straight taper. As a result, the reflection of the designed container was less than -10 dB from 0.88 GHz to 2.7 GHz.
