| (in English) | This paper presents an overview of development of audio coding technologies in the last 25 years, with MPEG Audio standardization process. First, the history of MPEG/Audio standardization is overviewed. MPEG-2/-4 AAC encoding process is then explained which is now recognized as the standard framework of audio-data compression, followed by some technologies the authors have deeply involved in development and MPEG standardization. | |
