Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the previous report, the authors have proposed massive antenna systems for wireless entrance (MAS-WE), which equip a large number of antennas at base station side and provide wireless entrance links to many WiFi APs spread in the wide service area effectively. It is expected that MAS-WE can be one of the most promising approach to solve the problem of the frequency resource exhaustion on micro-wave band, and, the quite reliable/robust networks against big disaster which can work continuously during very long interruption of the power supply can be realized with MAS-WE.
In order to verify the feasibility of MAS-WE, we have carried out the experiments of radio propagation on 5.2GHz band with a experimental equipment with 32 antennas and analyzed the obtained cannel state information. In this paper, we report the evaluation result and the basic characteristics of MAS-WE. Finally, we can conclude that MAS-WE are feasible enough from the experimental data.
