Since rectangular waveguide resonators consist of metal windows and waveguide cavity
have characteristics of high power durability and low power loss, it is generally used for a microwave circuit bandpass filter.
This structure is applied to bandpass filter by designing some circuit dimensions that are a number of windows, window width and a cavity length.
In case of conventional design method based on lumped constant circuit, the optimal circuit is not always obtained due to narrow search range.
In this study, we propose a design method of rectangular waveguide filters with inductive windows using particle swarm optimization
to search for the optimal or semi-optimal solution out of a huge set of possible values of design elements. |
