A Study on Low Power Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Intermittent Operation of Nodes

(in English) When developing the wireless sensor networks to a vast area of farmland, such as no communications and a power infrastructure, it is generally that the power of nodes will be supplied from the battery. However, the battery capacity is limited. So, it is necessary to consider the cost of replacement or charging of the battery. In this study, we are aimed at decreasing power consumption by intermittent relay nodes. By adjusting the period of the intermittent operation of the relay nodes, the packet arrival rate achieved 80% and the power consumption decreased 80%.
