Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We introduce a method to calculate the Euclidean distance pro le of a coded 64-QAM easily. Using the method, we search some space-time codes based on trace norms, and examine the performance. The error rate
performance of the proposed codes are compared with the Alamouti code and the quasi-orthogonal space-time block code (QOSTBC). By comparison of a theoretical upper bound of the error probability, the 22 proposed space-time code is better than the Alamouti code, when the number of receiving antennas is more than one. Moreover, bit error rates of the proposed codes are compared with ML decoding on perfect CSI Rayleigh fading channels by computer simulations. These results show the propose codes almost outperform the conventional codes when the number of
receive antennas is more than one, and the increase in the number of receiving antennas brings an advantage of our codes.
