A shortage of anesthesiologists has become a serious problem in local areas of Japan. A fuzzy-PID controller to make a decision for optimal inputs was applied for multiple drug infusion system under left heart failure. Simulation studies revealed that the proposed controller was able to simultaneously regulate cardiac output and arterial blood pressure, regardless of sudden disturbance as well as the change of drug sensitivity and interaction. The fuzzy-PID system realized a robust control owing to the optimal adjustment of propositional gain of PID controllers. |
