Improving Applicability to Large-Scale Products of a Code-Clone Detetion Method Based on an Arbitrary-Granularity Function Model
Toshihiro Kamiya (Future Univ. Hakodate) SS2013-35 KBSE2013-35
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A clone-detection method, which authors have proposed, is to generate all possible execution paths of a target program in a static manner, in order to detect the same sub-sequences on such execution sequences as clones.
Moreover, the detection method considers execution paths on an entire program (over procedure call relation) to detect code fragments cross over procedure boundaries. However, because such computation of global execution paths includes handing a bunch of execution paths, the algorithm needs to be an efficient one in both time and space complexities. This paper reports the recent works on improving efficiency of an algorithm and evaluates how large such improvements are.
