An Access Request Dispatch Method on Scalable Storage Systems

(in English) On a scalable storage system architecture, which host interface modules and processor modules are decoupled, the request from host computers is dispatched to a suitable processor in host interfaces. On such architecture, the dispatch performance is high enough to utilize the host interface performances. In this report, two acceleration techniques are proposed, one is packet buffer method that assists an access request extraction and re-transmission, the other is a routing method with a table search using CAM. The experimental results show these techniques achieves better performance with appropriate logic size compared to software only approach.
