(in English) Model-based polarimetric decomposition is one of the analysis techniques for POLSAR images. Recently, many algorithms, which are based on several scattering models, have been proposed.
These algorithms decompose the received power into several scattering components corresponding to their scattering mechanism. Some assumptions are necessary to discriminate their scattering contributions. It will be useful to compare the algorithms to clarify which one is suitable to detect a particular scattering mechanism.
As the first step of the research, we compare several model-based polarimetric decomposition algorithms qualitatively. In this paper, forested area and urban area are selected for discussion.
