(in English) The authors introduce 40cm cubic micro-satellite, ShindaiSat “Ginrei”, which was selected as one of sub-satellites of H-IIA scheduled to be launched by March 2014, and about visible light communications that are planned as a mission of the micro-satellite. After introducing the history of the development of micro-satellites at Shinshu University, the arrangement and function of each device mounted on Ginrei are introduced. The outline of experiments of visible light communications that are planned as a mission of the micro-satellite is explained.
