l2,1 Mixed Norm Projection and Its Application to Image Denoising Problem

(in English) The metric projection onto $ell_1$ norm ball is used
as a key tool for sparsity based signal reconstruction problems.
For promoting the group sparsity of original signal,
$ell_{1,2}$ and $ell_{1,infty}$ mixed norm ball projection algorithms
are also proposed. However, $ell_{2,1}$ norm ball projection has less
attention because it is not directly related to any kind of sparsity.
In this paper, we proposed an effective algorithm to solve $ell_{2,1}$ norm ball projection,
and the image denoising method which requires this projection.
%We apply the proposed algorithm to solve an image denoising problem.
The experimental result shows that our denoising method using
$ell_{2,1}$ norm ball projection outperform the conventional methods.
This result also confirms that the effectiveness of out projection algorithm.
