Controlling interference from the secondary system (SS) to the receiver of the primary system (PS) is important issues when the SS uses the same frequency band in the area of television broadcast system. The reason includes that the SS cannot know the interference channel to the primary receiver (Rx), which does not have a transmitter. In this paper, we propose the interference control method between Rx and SS, where a load modulation scheme is introduced to Rx. In this method, the signal from the transmitter station is scattered by switching load impedance at Rx which does not emit radio waves. Also, SS estimates the scattered channel and calculates the interference suppression weights for transmitting, and controls interference by transmit beamforming at SS. Based on the simulation, it is found the Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR) with interference control is improved by up to 34.8 dB compared to that without interference control at a short distance, and it is confirmed that the proposed method using load modulation is effective in controlling interference between Rx and SS. Furthermore, we evaluate the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and channel capacity at SS in the case of controlling transmit power of SS. |
