[Invited Talk] MKID and its application to Cosmology and Particle Physics

(in English) MKID (Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detector) is one of superconducting detectors. Cooper-pair breaking caused by deposited energy change the kinetic inductance of the superconducting material. MKID, consisting of an LC resonance circuit formed by a thin superconducting metal layer, detects the energy by sensing the change of the inductance. Utilizing the resonant circuit makes the readout scheme frequency-domain, enabling us to make use of multiplexing readout. In this report we introduce the basic detection principle of the MKID and report our R&D status for the applications to cosmology and particle physics.
