Cuffless Blood Pressure Variability Estimation Using only Photoplethysmograph while Sleeping at Night

(in English) Blood Pressure (BP) Variability at night and a cardiovascular diseases are closely related, and monitoring BP variability is important. Therefore, this study tried estimating BP variability while sleeping noninvasively and continuously with the following two conditions, 1. using only photoplethysmograph based on a previous study, 2. considering the postures which are sleeping and seating while measuring. For the experiment, nine test subjects performed tasks in each posture. We estimated BP variability using the database which consists of BP variability and photoplethysmographic features created in the experiment with the multiple regression analysis. As of result, our method could estimate BP variability better in accuracy. Furthermore, we tried estimating BP variability while subjects are actually sleeping, and obtained the effective result that our proposed method could estimate BP variability while sleeping noninvasively and continuously.
