Hierarchical Interference Alignment with Multi-stage Processing for Downlink Heterogeneous Networks

(in English) As an intercell interference mitigation technique for downlink heterogeneous networks, hierarchical interference alignment (HIA) is proposed. HIA can obtain all the beamforming matrices by solving closed-form equation and achieve a high capacity. However, it can be applied only to the network in which two picocells are placed within a macrocell. To mitigate this restriction, we propose multi-stage processing for HIA in which strong interference signals are preferentially aligned. As a result, HMIA can deal with the network in which three or more picocells are placed within a macrocell though it slightly loses capacity.
