(in English) In the next generation mobile communication systems, we have proposed the Dependable Air to attain high throughput and wide coverage, which is combination of multiple wireless systems.
For the Dependable Air, a multi-mode receiver with multiple air interfaces is required.
In this paper, we discuss an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) implementation of the multi-mode frequency domain equalization (FDE) circuit for such a multi-mode receiver.
The implemented multi-mode FDE ASIC could realize equalization of signals in different two wireless systems (single carrier and multi carrier) while selecting a better system depending on propagation environment adaptively.
Evaluating bit error rate performances, it is shown that proposed multi-mode FDE is useful to realize multi-mode receiver for the Dependable Air.
