Clipping and filtering (CAF) is a promising technique to suppress the out-of-band radiation generated after passing through a high power amplifier (HPA). Meanwhile, CAF suffers from the significant BER degradation due to its clipping process. To overcome the BER degradation, we have so far proposed the CAF method employing the transmit power control based on the theoretical signal-to-noise-plus-distortion ratio (SNDR) and have demonstrated its effectiveness under the assumption of a soft limiter. In this paper, we assume the solid state power amplifier (SSPA) as a realistic HPA model and verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in more realistic scenarios. |
