Twitter-based Information Collecting System for Safety Confirmation

(in English) It is very much important to perform safety con rmation at disaster, for example, earthquake and large flood, in order to begin systematic recovery from disaster.
But, now, there are very few step of methods and systematic preventions so that we must prepare some useful strategies and design effective system to perform safety con rmation for individual member of each organization.
When the East of Japan were attacked by Mega Earthquake and Huge Tsunami, Telephone system and wired Internet had been destroyed and even alive systems and their users were seriously suffering from traffic congestion. Many people said that such environment never provided users to perform effective safety con rmation through the conventional communication media. This paper describes how to design and implement an Information Collecting System using Twitter API for safety con rmation.
Such a system can obtain the relevant information about target users' activities through Twitter API, analyze a time-series behavior during each user's speci c period, generate visualizing information, and provide graphical history of the target user's behavior which contributes to safety con rmation by means of other members of the same organization.
And it also reports some kinds of problems which occurred in the real process of implementation of the above system.
Additionally, authors of the paper try to discuss corresponding notices about using of social media for safety con rmation.
