We report on the ultrasonic waves are generated by using the interaction with lasers and materials. When a beam of He-Ne laser modulated sinusoidally is irradiated on a carbon material, ultrasonic waves such as thermal waves, elastic waves and acoustic waves can be generated. When Nd:YAG laser is used, thermoelastic waves or emergent stress waves can be generated on natural rubber. |
