The growth in FTTH subscriber number and rapid adoption of broadband services has raised environmental concerns. Optical access and home network are consumes the power consumption which have variety of CPEs. Given this background, several power-saving techniques such of ONU sleep has been standardized and discussed. On the other hand, these CPEs use different power-saving approaches because they apply different protocols for single link power-saving. This disparity can degrade overall efficiency. In this paper, we proposed a novel energy-efficient power saving techniques coordinating CPEs via ONU and long term scenarios in order to create energy-aware network with maximum power-savings from the point of optimization of network resources. Moreover, to assess the performance of our technique, we evaluate its performance of our technique by numerical calculation. |
