Ag/ZnO electrical contact material was fabricated by powder metallurgy (PM) method. Three different zinc oxide powders were used as the second phase. One was bought and the others were synthesized by co-precipitation and hydro-thermal method separately. The electrical and mechanical properties of Ag/ZnO composites were investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and so on. Results showed that ZnO was distributed in Ag matrix evenly and Ag/ZnO electric contact materials prepared from different ZnO powder had different properties, among which the one with ZnO powder synthesized by co-precipitation behaved best. |
