Accurate coherent change detection method using full polarimetric SAR imagery ○Ryo Oyama・Shouhei Kidera・Tetsuo Kirimoto(UEC) SANE2013-76 |

Microwave imaging technique, particular for synthetic aperture radar (SAR), provides us high-resolution terrain surface imaging being applicable in all-weather situations. Focusing on a feature of complex SAR image, coherent change detection (CCD) approaches have been developed in recent decades, which can detect a temporal change at the same region. On the other hand, various types of study for polarimetric SAR (PolSAR) image analysis have been developed, since full polarimetric data often include valuable information which cannot be obtained from single polarimetric observation. According to this background, this paper also introduces a novel CCD method exploiting full polarimetric SAR images to enhance the change detection ability particularly using Pauli decomposition. The experimental data obtained in anechoic chamber show that the proposed method enhances the performance of receiver operation characteristic (ROC) obtained by the conventional single polarimetric approach. |
