Image processing techniques for removal of hazes such as smokes and fogs from digital images have been actively researched. In this report, we propose a new method for haze removing from single image. For haze removing from images, it is necessary to estimate the transmission map and the global atmospheric light in the image. However, the computational cost to estimate the transmission map is very high in general. In the proposed method, in order to mitigate the cost, Min-Max bilateral filter is apply to estimate the transmission map. In the experiments, we compared the proposed method with the conventional methods, and verified the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
