Synthesis of Pt nanoparticles by low voltage solution plasma processing

(in English) A solution plasma processing method at a low voltage and low frequency, abbreviated as SPP-LVLF, is promising for the synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles for polymer electrolyte fuel cells because of a simple and easy method and low environmental load. One of the purposes of this study is to optimize the condition of solution plasma formation which was controlled by changing stirring speed and/or solution temperature. The number of plasma emission signals increased as the stirring speed decreased and the solution temperature was raised. In addition, plasma emission spectra were measured with a fiber-type UV-Vis spectrometer, and the excited states of atomic hydrogen and oxygen as well as atomic platinum were detected in the spectra.
