A Study on Relay Node Positioning in Sensor Networks Using Street Space

(in English) Configuring wireless multi-hop sensor networks is considered using vehicles equipped with sensor and communication devices in wide-scale disaster area. To maintain connectivity and communication quality in sensor networks, vehicles equipped with relay nodes can be used. In this paper, we propose relay node positioning method that ensures link quality with consideration of digital map information with streets and buildings. The proposed method consists of two stages, The first stage selects candidate sites for relay node positions, The second stage determines the positions of relay nodes. It is show as the results of computer simulation that the proposed method can achieve high delivery rate.
