Uncertainty Budget Calculation of PD Frequency Response Measurement Using Optical Modulator

(in English) We propose a measurement method of frequency response of PDs, which use Mach Zehnder optical intensity modulator. In this paper, we report the uncertainty of our measurement. The extended uncertainty (k=2) estimated at 20GHz are explained in detail by referring “uncertainty budget sheets.” It is also calculated for other frequency points ranging from 10 MHz to 20 GHz. The maximum uncertainty in this measurement is ±0.342 dB at 20 GHz.
