Popularity-based Cache Rearrangement Scheme for Content Centric Network and Its Evaluation

(in English) Recently, rich content such as video, image, and music accounts for a large part of internet traffic, and efficient content delivery technology has been often studied. CCN (content centric network), also referred to as content-oriented network, is proposed as a next generation network. However, every content router in CCN caches all contents that pass through the router regardless of their popularity. That may bring inefficient cache arrangement. In this paper, we propose a popularity-based content cache rearrangement method for using content cache effectively. Simulation results indicate that the number of hops in the proposed method is almost same compared to the conventional method. Furthermore, the cache size used by each content router decreases.
