A Proposal of Multiple Sound Source Tracking Using 0-1 Reliability Distribution

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, a method for multiple sound source tracking using a histogram is studied. A microphone width is extended to attain the high resolution. Then, a spatial aliasing occasionally occurs in a high-frequency band. Therefore, a method for avoiding the spatial aliasing has been developed, in which a reliability of the results estimated in the high-frequency band was evaluated by the histogram of the results estimated in a low-frequency band. However, an accuracy of the histogram in the low frequency band decreases as a microphone width is widened. For avoiding this problem, 0$-$1 reliability distribution is introduced as a novel reliability index. Several experimental results in an actual environment are shown to verify the effectiveness of the method.
