An Access Method to Achieve Airtime Fairness in Wireless LANs -- Solutions for Data Frame Loss and Coexisting of DCF Stations --

(in English) Under the wireless LANs, the distributed coordination function (DCF) is used as a standard access method to avoid frame collisions due to simultaneous accesses.
The DCF avoids frame collisions by setting arandom backoff time to each station.
However that mechanism does not completely avoid frame collisions, and causes throughput degradation due to redundant backoff time.
Furthermore high rate station's throughput is affected by low rate stations because the DCF provides the same access right to each station regarlress the station's transmission rate.
To solve two problems, we have proposed an access method to reduce frame collisions and to achieve airtime fairness.
That method was effective under coexisting of DCF Stations.
However we have assumed an environment under which each station can completely overhear other station's frame.
This paper enhances our previous method to work well even under frame lossy conditions.
