A Study of Capacity-Fairness Controllable Scheduling for SC-FDMA/SDMA Uplink

(in English) Recently, we proposed the scheduling methods which select the number of simultaneously accessing users for uplink single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) and showed that the proposed scheduling can control the tradeoff between the capacity and the fairness. However, the user capacity gets decrease because we assumed that the number of subcarrier of selected users is equal among users for SC-FDMA. In this paper, we discuss a modified capacity-fairness controllable scheduling method for uplink single-carrier frequency division multiple access / space division multiple access (SC-FDMA/SDMA) to increase the capacity. We evaluate, by computer simulation, the sum capacity and the fairness among users when using the modified scheduling methods and show that impacts of the number of receive antennas, the number of spatial multiplexing users, and the number of simultaneously accessing users on the tradeoff between the capacity and the fairness.
