Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We analyzed nasal for the purpose of improving voice quality of a speech analysis and synthesis system. This study assumes nasal speech as speech with a noseclip including the nasal speech 1 and the nasal speech 2 that have different position of the noseclip. We recorded nasal consonants which speech duration is long, and observed long-time average spectra on sections of nasal consonant and time series of subband power of long-time average spectra. The result indicated that the power of sections of nasal consonant on nasal speech is damped as compared with normal speech on over 630 Hz and is damping with time. It was also found that nasal speech also transfer a peak at about 400 Hz (observed in normal speech) to that at 100-200 Hz. These result suggests that the spectral characteristics of the nasal speech 1 is located between that of the normal speech and that of the nasal speech 2.
