Autopsy imaging (Ai) plays a key role to reduce the imposition of doctors
and to improve the reliability of cause of deaths and by incorporating the post-mortem imaging in pathology. We set out to construct an Ai computer-aided diagnosis (Ai-CAD) system to assist medical doctors in performing Ai. Segmentation of organ regions is necessary for analysis of the change in texture due to post-mortem change. But there is few methods to extract organ regions for post-mortem CT images. In this paper, we propose a new method to extract organ regions in post-mortem CT images using corresponding ante-mortem CT images. First, organ regions are extracted manually from the ante-mortem CT images. Next, we calculated organ regions in post-mortem CT images using proposed method derived from registration using thin-plate spline (TPS) warping. |
