Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The medical image segmentation helps physicians to find diseased internal organs to perform the computer aided diagnosis or to determine the treatment policy. A popular method for the medical image segmentation is the graph cut algorithm to optimize the discrete function. However it’s known that the graph cut algorithm requires the huge memory usage and accordingly it’s difficult to improve the accuracy. In this paper, we proposed a new method which optimizes the same energy function and evaluates the performance using abdominal CT images.
