Investigation on Expressions of Artificial Living Presence Combining Utterances and Breathing

(in English) In this research, we investigate a presence of a living being using a multiple expression of a robot with the utterance and the breath. Physical bodies of the robots are not considered to be equal to the presence of living beings. In order to be recognized as a living presence, it is important to express the life-like or vital expressions of the physical body especially when the robot and the user are in the close distances. We focused on the expression of breathing with simultaneous utterances, and held an experiment whether the robot is interpreted as like a living being by adopting multiple expressions of utterance and breathing.
