To achieve successful communication, the inference of others’ cognitive environment is essential. However, the ontogenesis of such behavior still remains unclear. The current study examined infants’ informing behavior through investigating their spontaneous pointing in an informing context. Results suggested that infants in the first half of their second year have already started their spontaneous “teaching” reflecting their ability to track shared experience with others. |
