The Phase Adjuster, which is a device of changing the inner diameter of system locally, improves the efficiency largely. However, the efficiency improvement factors are not fully explained now. Therefore, it is necessary to understand those factors for more efficiency improvement. In this paper, the control of the resonance mode and the improvement of acoustic power by setting a PA are first explained. Then, experiments on the deliberation of factors enabling resonance mode control by setting a PA in a thermoacoustic system are described. These experiments are carried out by forced oscillation using a loudspeaker. Results show that the PA position determines the work flow direction. Therefore, it is considered that the resonance mode controlled in the work flow direction determined by the PA position is the same as what observed in work flow direction in a loop-tube type thermoacoustic system. |
