This paper presents an efficient multi-channel utilization method to increase the network capacity of the wireless backbone network (WBN). The wireless backbone network is a part of wireless mesh network (WMN) and consists a multi-hop network of access points (APs). Existing WMN limits the number of channels an AP utilize simultaneously due to the hardware equipment (the number of wireless interfaces) even if there are many vacant channels. Also, the channel utilization is not sufficiently conducted in terms of parallel transmission on multiple channels. From this, this paper propose an architecture that enables to handle the unlimited number of channels potentially. Also, we present the channel utilization method that simultaneously and effectively control traffic on the architecture. |
