Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In multi-input multi-output (MIMO) space division multiplexing (SDM) systems based on transmitter/receiver spatial filtering, a transmitter weight optimization method has been investigated. In this paper, we evaluate performance of a per-antenna transmit power constrained MIMO SDM systems under time-varying channels, where we assume frequency division duplex (FDD) systems and apply a method that the receiver send back the difference between channel estimates of current and previous ones. We also investigate a method that the receiver send back the difference between weights currently used at the transmitter and optimum ones calculated at the receiver. Computer simulation results show that bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed system is improved with the above feedback type weight control techniques for time-varying channels.
