Some routers, switches and transport equipment may cause optical instantaneous interruption during the transition period for optical output to stabilize. So some devices may affect the optical link-up that is first exchanging between the devices. We have to connect each equipment for confirming this affect, but we can obtain results depending on hardware. So it is necessary to confirm resistance characteristics of each equipment by considering variation and adjusting parameters like changing optical instantaneous interruption time and timing. In this time, we established the confirmation way which does not depend on the particular hardware using optical devices. In this paper, we report the method comparing each way of using LINbO3 modulator and VOA as optical devices, and the result of comparing instantaneous interruption with that of some routers and switches. |
