The performance of IEEE 802.16j relay networks is influenced by various factors such as time slot assignment for the wireless network links, background noise level, pass loss exponent, density of relay nodes, and transmission signal strength. In this report, we present the results of the throughput analysis of IEEE 802.16j relay networks. We first summarize the parameters that affect the relay network throughput and conduct simulation experiments with various sets of those parameter values. Finally, we investigate the effect of parameters on the throughput by multiple regression analysis. Analysis results show that background noise level, path loss exponent, and transmission signal strength greatly affect the relay network throughput. |
