In this paper, we evaluate an Efficient Reliable Multicast in Wireless LAN. In our approach, a multicast sender selects a representative node from nodes which requested for the same content and then sends the content to the representative node by using TCP at the transport layer to leverage the congestion control and transmission control. At the same time, other nodes who wish to receive the same content, receives the content by overhearing TCP traffic generated from the sender to the representative node. By using network simulator, we perform extensive evaluation of our proposed method. |
