A Study of an Easy Distance Learning System with Tablet Devices

(in English) In this paper, the easily construction of the distance learning system by one person, is proposed. Especially, it was aimed at the realization of a simple remote lecture from the outdoors. The students can receive two videos through mobile network, one is “lecturer video” which tracks lecturer’s face automatically, and the other one is “document video” as the prepared slides or the real-time video by the lecturer’s tablet camera. In addition, “student video” which is taken in the student side, is transmitted and displayed on tablet devices on hand of lecturer. The face-to-face communication is realized by bi-directional video and audio transmission. It was confirmed that distance learning can be played smoothly by the experiment.
