Word Learning System with Subject Images Using Head-mount Display

(in English) It is expected that learning foreign words with watching the associated actual images is effective way. We think that the latest lightweight Head-mounted Display (HMD) device would enable this way to be user-friendly. In this paper, we propose the Word Learning System for this learning using the lightweight HMD which shows a foreign word on the display recognizing the associated object. After the experiment of comparing the number of memorized words between using the system and the other way showing the only word on display, we could conclude that our proposed system is effective for learning foreign words.
