Recently, several crimes using the camera-embedded mobile machinery have occurred. Inpaticular, a
peeping and digital shoplifting are increasing rapidly. The current situation of these crimes have not been taken any
direct measures against camera and the victim has a crime prevention by himself. For overcoming these problem,
this paper proposes a crime prevention method which uses an LED visible light beacon to limit the taking of camera.
This method generates several signal by using LED electric bulb turning on and off. After the camera received this
signal, the proposed system forces camera function to stop automatically. In this paper, we construct a room of
peeping prevention to demonstrate the system. Since transmitter uses as light of daily life, this transmitter must not
feel uncomfortable signal. Receiver uses a web camera, and packages a control program of the camera and a receive
program of the signal. We confirm to stop camera function of the BeagleBoard-xM and used regular LED lighting
and strength LED lighting. Then, we checked receive signals from the transmitter-sent signals and determined
suitable signals for receiver. Furthermore, we check a signal condition when we hold camera by hand. |
