An analysis of the conducting movement by the minimum jerk trajectory of the periodic movement

(in English) We can communicate with others not only by language but also gesture. In this study, we focus on the transmission of rhythm information by the conducting movements in an orchestra. At first, a minimum jerk trajectory for a periodic arm movement with several via-points was introduced. Then, the minimum jerk trajectory that approximate a measured conducting movement was searched and via-points of this approximated trajectory were investigated. From these results, we confirmed that adequate via-points were extracted by the proposed analyzed method.
