Shortening of High Load Virtual Machine Live Migration Time by Controlling CPU Resource

(in English) The growth of virtualizing technology makes it possible to provide virtual network hosting service such as IaaS. In IaaS, multiple virtual networks share physical network equipment resources; hence service provider must fairly assign resources to each network. For example, when a virtual network becomes under a DDoS attack, the load of physical network equipment increases and the performance of other networks sharing same physical network equipment will decrease. The conventional method to save other networks is to filter packets to the network being under DDoS attack. However it causes the reduction of service level. Another method that does not reduce service level is to live migrate the virtual machine under DDoS attacks into other independent network without stopping the virtual machine. This paper proposes a migration method that enables controlling of migration time without stopping user networks by controlling the assigned CPU resource.
