Estimated SINR Based Received Signal Selection Schemes for Collaborative Interference Cancellation
Ryo Shinohara, Hidekazu Murata (Kyoto Univ.) RCS2014-15
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) transmission has been investigated to improve the spectrum efficiency in wireless communications.
Outdated CSI causes residual inter-user interference on precoding for MU-MIMO.
An interference cancellation scheme by linear signal processing requires lots of antennas for mobile stations.
Collaborative interference cancellation is an effective countermeasure against inter-user interference.
In this scheme, to increase the number of receive antennas, mobile stations share their received signals collaboratively by using short-range wireless interface.
As the number of collaborators increase to obtain diversity gain, the costs of sharing the received signals increase.
In this paper, to reduce the costs of sharing the received signals, received signal selection based on combined SINR is proposed.
